Deborah Sabet is a Senior Design Executive with over 10+ years of experience leading collaborative teams and overseeing operations to execute creative direction for luxury and contemporary brands. She is a proven leader and culture creator focused on innovation, communication and accountability. She is a strong liaison in all facets of luxury products with both internal and external teams. Her unique take on product elevation while serving business objectives produces exceptional pieces that are strategically aligned with a brand's DNA.
Most recently, Deborah was the Senior Design Director at Vince, where she was the operational right hand to the Creative Director. There she led the design team, executed seasonal concepts, fit and proportions across categories. She managed deadlines and budgets, communicated with cross functional partners and vendors from design through production and harnessed growth and collaboration within her team. She was responsible for putting out four collections a year, including guided creative vision and storytelling for shoes and accessories. Her work has been featured in GQ, Esquire, BOF, WWD, Editorialist, WSJ and Hypebeast.
In addition to her design capabilities, Deborah is renowned for her expert management of both people and projects. At Vince, she implemented a responsibility initiative alongside her R + D team to source innovative sustainable fabrics and trims in line with seasonal creative direction. She also developed the core bottoms program sourced with all Italian fabrics. Deborah designed signature styles and established a palette of luxury core fabrics in outerwear and shirting that led to increased margins and best sellers. In 2020, alongside three of her coworkers, she created the company's DEI leadership team where she worked on a new culture that championed diversity and inclusion.
Having worked in a broad range of environments, including leading District Homme + District Femme, her bespoke menswear + womenswear collections, and teaching at Otis, she has the knowledge and expertise to lead creative teams, build brand identities and establish core fits. Deborah knows how to lead both lean and large teams while fostering efficiency and collaboration across departments.
A Los Angeles native, Deborah’s aesthetic is informed by the city’s effortless coastal style and diverse culture. She is an alumni and mentor at Otis College of Art + Design.
